Dunedin Public Theater Launches Feasibility Study in Partnership with Keen Independent Research

Dunedin Public Theater is excited to announce a major step forward in its mission to establish a new theater facility: the launch of a comprehensive feasibility study, conducted by Keen Independent Research. The study officially begins with a public meeting on May 15 at 6:00 PM at Sea Sea Riders Restaurant (221 Main Street, Dunedin, FL 34698), and all community members are invited to attend, share their perspectives, and help shape the vision for the future.

Keen Independent Research, a nationally recognized consulting firm with deep expertise in arts, culture, and community projects, will lead the study. Managing Principal and Co-owner Alex Keen will be on site to introduce the team, outline the study process, and begin gathering vital community feedback.

“This is a pivotal moment for Dunedin Public Theater,” said Elizabeth Brincklow, Board of Directors Chair. “The feasibility study will give us the information and insights we need to build a theater that truly serves our city.”

The public meeting will mark the official kickoff of a deep-dive assessment into the Dunedin arts and cultural market, evaluating the needs of potential patrons, renters, performers, staff, and volunteers. Your feedback at this meeting is essential to inform the study — and yes, there will be snacks!

Dunedin Public Theater has engaged Keen Independent to assess the viability of a possible future 250-seat, intimate, state-of-the-art theater, envisioned as a catalyst for creativity, economic growth, and community connection. The work will contribute to the development of a governance and staffing plan as well as a detailed operational budget. Final study results are anticipated in late Fall 2025.
